Part of Chivas Regal’s fourth annual collaboration with British artisans, the Chivas 12 ‘Made for Gentlemen’ by Globe-Trotter steamer trunk takes a page from the golden age of travel—when transportation took days and packing was more expeditionary in nature.
The British luggage brand outfitted the interior of the premium trunk with a watch compartment that can securely carry eight pieces, shoe storage, ample suit space complemented with leather-covered hangers, and three handcrafted drawers, each trimmed in American white oak—the same wood that is used to age Chivas Regal 12-year-old blended scotch. The pièce de résistance is a built-in, mirrored mini bar. The elegant burgundy exterior is made of vulcanized fiberboard with wood handles, leather straps, and brushed-brass accents.
The $18,600 steamer trunk will be on display at Globe-Trotter’s London flagship store beginning October 5. Proceeds will help the Prince’s Trust, a nonprofit that helps young people in the United Kingdom from 13 to 30 years old who are unemployed or struggling in school.
